The implementation timeline for the UAE Maritime Pre-Load Cargo Information (MPCI) filing requirement has been revised.
The requirement was previously scheduled to become mandatory on March 31, 2026. According to the latest update from the authorities, the mandatory implementation date has now been moved to June 30, 2026.
This extension provides additional time for carriers, forwarders, and NVOCCs to complete operational preparation before the filing requirement becomes mandatory. Companies involved in shipments to the UAE should use this period to confirm that the necessary processes and responsibilities are clearly defined within their organizations.
Recommended preparation activities include:
- Confirming internal responsibility for MPCI filing
- Aligning with origin partners and shippers on required shipment data
- Reviewing documentation and data availability processes
- Testing submission workflows ahead of the mandatory deadline
Although the timeline has been extended, companies should continue preparing to ensure compliance and avoid disruption once MPCI filing becomes mandatory. Read more about the UAE Maritime Pre-Load Cargo Information (MPCI) filing requirement here.
