Some Countries Grant Postponements for EU ICS2 ENS for Road and Rail

Seattle – 7th January, 2026 – Update on EU ICS2 ENS for Road and Rail (Updated January 7, 2026)

Please be advised of the latest update on EU ICS2 ENS for Road and Rail.

As of today the following countries are live with filing for Road and Rail:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Cyprus
  • Czechia
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Malta
  • Netherlands
  • Portugal
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Sweden

The following countries have confirmed that they will continue derogations for ICS2 ENS Road and Rail filings until 1st June, 2026:

  • Croatia
  • Latvia
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovakia

ICS2 Release 3, launched in April 2025, extended the requirement to file Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) to goods moving into the EU by road and rail. ENS filings provide Customs authorities with shipment details before arrival, allowing for advance risk assessment and improved border security. Postponement, under the Derogation Mechanism, allows national Customs authorities to delay enforcement in their country giving companies additional time to prepare.
