ICS2 Release 3 house-level filing is live! Under EU regulations, all shipments entering or transiting through the EU, Norway, Switzerland, and Northern Ireland must have a complete and accurate Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) before departure.
To help you navigate this new compliance filing, Trade Tech will continue the series of ICS2 ENS webinars with the latest May dates.
To ensure compliance and avoid disruptions, consider the following requirements:
- Accurate and Complete Shipping Instructions: Ensure that all shipping instructions (SI) include essential details, such as the House Bill of Lading (HBL) Number and the EORI number of the HBL issuer.
- Timely Filing of ENS: ENS filing must be completed twenty-four hours prior to the commencement of loading operations in order to secure the required Movement Reference Number (MRN) before cargo loading.
- Valid EORI Number Requirement: The Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number is mandatory. Shipments without valid EORI numbers will be rejected, which may result in delays or fines.
- No MRN, No Load Policy: Cargo cannot be loaded at the port of origin without a valid MRN.
Failure to meet these requirements may lead to operational delays, penalties, or cargo holds. Shippers and logistics providers should review their processes to ensure full compliance before the deadline.
Whether you have started filing, are still trying to understand the requirements, question whether or not you need to be concerned about filing, or are still trying to understand the impact to your company and your customers, we are confident these webinars will be both informative and helpful.
