Trade Tech, Inc., headquartered in Issaquah, WA, seeks a work-at-home Sales Director, Latin America position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems) responsible for developing and managing Latin American sales as well as supporting the company’s office in Mexico and establishing new offices throughout the Latin America region.
Specific duties include:
- communicating both verbally and in writing on a daily/regular basis with customers in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries to sell Trade Tech’s global trade and logistics software products and services and provide implementation and customer service support to new customers located in the Latin American market;
- leading sales demonstrations (in Spanish) of Trade Tech’s software tools for International Transportation & Logistics, International Transportation Regulatory Compliance, and International Transportation Accounting;
- recruiting Sales Operations as well as Customer Service and Support staff in target Latin American countries;
- conducting Spanish-language sales trainings so that the new Latin American sales partners are fully versed in the full functionality of Trade Tech’s products and services and able to demonstrate the full range of Trade Tech software products’ capabilities to potential new customers through joint presentations and sales calls;
- helping to establish new Trade Tech subsidiaries within each target country according to applicable laws and regulations;
- establishing working relationships with the Customs Agencies within Spanish-speaking Latin American target countries to ensure full regulatory compliance associated with international trade to and from that country;
- discussing requested features and functionality with Trade Tech’s software development product team;
- facilitating trade from Latin American subsidiaries to customers in the U.S., Canada, and Japan in compliance with the requirements of each country’s customs regulations.
This is a fully remote position and the employee can work from anywhere in the United States.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
Must have any experience with or knowledge of (through academic background or experience) the following:
- a compiled programming language such as but not limited to C++ or Java;
- a scripting language such as but not limited to Python;
- international transportation accounting, including performing and/or overseeing accounting activities for the shipment and purchase of goods and services;
- accounting and finance processes associated with International Transportation and Supply Chain Management, such as proper accrual of all revenue and costs, profit split calculations and settlements, and/or international trade finance;
- international transportation and logistics; and
- international transportation regulatory compliance, including the 24-Hour Rule regulations relative to imports to the USA.
Experience can be concurrent.
Must have written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish and a thorough understanding of the cultural and business customs in Latin America.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $90,147 to $110,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. The offered salary may vary within this range based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
